How bad is it after wisdom teeth are removed ?

answers 0:I heard that you're knock out, but what about the day after? I'm asking this because I have try outs tomorrow and I want to know if it's okay to go.answers 1:You're not going to be able to do much of anything in the next week. You will be on pain killers.answers 2:If it was me I would not let them use the drugVersed ( Midazolam ) for the procedure. In fact, many people who use Versed for " IV Sedation,Conscious Sedation" Twilight Sedation, during a procedure are awake for the entire procedure but remember nothing, often believing they were "out" the whole time.Versed (Midazolam) is an amnestic. It is also commonly used for minor procedures like setting broken bones, colonoscopies, endoscopies, dental procedures like extractions, conscious sedation, twilight sleep, so that patients won't remember pain and discomfort.HOWEVER THAT DOES ! NOT MEAN THAT THOSE SENSATIONS WILL NOT BE EXPERIENCED!!!!Forgetting does not mean it did not happen!!I FEEL IF PATIENTS WERE MADE AWARE THEY MAY FEEL PAIN OR DISCOMFORT THEYWOULD OPT FOR ANOTHER DRUG!!!!!!!Do you think it is ok to erase someone's memory ofwhat was done to them??Here is a note from a Dentist Who uses VersedI've used Versed 1000 times during oral surgery procedures and I've never had a complaint. It's a miracle drug because it is safe and it causes you to not remember an unpleasant experience. My answer to him is isn't it better to have not experienced the pain than to have forgot it. No wonder you have had no complaints they have no memory of the procedure.....Here is a note from someone that did use versed for a procedureI know I was sedated, I don't remember anything.. but I know I was screaming, everyone could hear me.. My thing is how was I screaming if I'm knocked out. I will never consent to amnesia drugs again; I would much rather be put completely! out, not just awake with memory impairment. My wife had her br! oken bone(Femur)set in the emergency room just before surgery to repair it. They gave her versed and I waited outside of the room and could hear her screaming in pain, they did not appear to be concerned as they told me she would not remember anything and she did not. BUT THAT DOES NOT MEAN THAT IT DID NOT HAPPEN AND THAT SHE DID NOT SUFFERA note from an anesthesiologistI agree that using midazolam alone in painful situations is wrong. I've heard people getting colonoscopies and screaming, and maybe they remember, maybe they don't.Amnesia does not take place for all patients!!!!!Listen carefully when a Doctor tells a patient they should have a colonoscopy they are told you won't remember anything and not you will not feel anything. My sister in- law had her baby years ago and we saw her after the delivery she complained abouthow bad the pain was and had to be restrained. She had twilight sedation with Versed and a few hours latershe had no memory of any of this and thinks sh! e slept thru the whole thing......answers 3:no dont go u will b in serious pain then and if u mess up ur mouth in tryouts it cost alot of money to get fixedanswers 4:yeah, you won't be able to go..... Take the pain medicine they give you.. Trust me, you are going to need it...answers 5:It depends on the specialist how good he is and also every person is different when it comes to the pain.answers 6:You will be awake tomorrow, however. You can't elevate your heart rate since in doing so you can "pop" the clots in your teeth and start profusely bleeding.I would not advise going....answers 7:I must be the minority in this but I wasn't knocked out. I had a local anesthetic. I took the first 2 painkillers when my mouth was numb and that was it. I had no pain at all and was eating a hamburger 3 days later.answers 8:You cant go to tryouts. It could be dangerous because your gums need time to heal. After i woke up(well was half awake) i just wanted to sleep, i actually was wheelch! aired out, but just cause they had to give me a good bit of gas>...
