Robin Tommie: You are over looking the fire laws.You have to clear all weeds and shrubs for 1050 feet around any building. Clear them down to the ground by mid-July. Landscaping, plants kept watered are OK.Tree branches over the entire 20 acres have to be either green or cleared about 4 feet. Galen Gowers: if you have fields they will need to be mowed several times a year to keep weeds under control. it is also good to spread manure or compost on the land annually to keep fertility up, even if you have no plans to use the land (which is a waste, quite frankly. Especially since you will be paying property taxes on the land).
Cristopher Gavalis: No maintenance is required. But you should look into liability insurance to cover the property.
