You Kind help needed? Please help.?

Ilana Gaster: It depends on the food you are serving. If it is classic food with a european influence then simple colours and furnishings are the best. Walnut wooden chairs and tables with crisp white cloths and shining silver cutlery and glassware are always the best. Don't choose any colours that are too bright. I would stick to subtle hues of olive green, or deep grey blue offset with a cream colour. having an outdoor area is good, however be careful that the smoke doesn't blow back into the restaurant. You are better to have doors opening on to the street but no smoking out the front. Well dressed and silver service trained waiters are the best. if it is european then I would expect to pay around $20 per main dish and $12 for entree/dessert. It must be of a very high standard though. Try to get your restaurant reviewed for the local paper and food guidebook in your city. Also, get your restaurant listed online at any food review sites such as eatability. com. Good lu! ck...Show more

Vida Miss: First of all it depends on what type of restaurant you are going to open.(1.)Colours on the wall:I suggest neutral colours like ivory, cream,or slightly white(off white)The neutral colours give you a sense of cleanliness as well as make your restaurant looks bigger. If you are going to open an Ethnic restaurant red, or orange even a bit of yellow are good accent colours(do not paint all the wall just accent) a shade of red is a good choice for Ethnic cuisine. If you offer all you can eat yellow or orange is not a good idea because they make people eat more.Avoid blue or violet, purple for your restaurant. Blue has know for an appetite suppressant, people lost the appetite in a blue lights or colours like blue.(1.2) I like citrus for the dinning area. Something like Ylang Ylang is good but can give you a head ache if smell it for a certain period of time.(2.) Sitting Style I reccomend both open seating and private areas. Also if you have enough! space outdoor dinning area is a great idea. (3.) If I were yo! u I am going to create signature dish/drinks that could attract more customers or do more sale. If I were you I will train my staffs and go over the menu then make sure that they know/understand what are you serving.(4.) Price of your dishes/food should be 30-35 % on top of what you pay. The numbers seem a lot but that how it is in a restaurant business. (5.) Things that I do not like to see in a restaurants:*Unfriendly Staffs.*Uncleaned silver wares, floor, dishes, cups etc.Overall we all want a good service as well as good food:)(6.)To boost your sell I will use suggestive selling. Or other options are special price lunch menu or set lunch/dinner menu. or happy hours if you serve alcohol.Congratulation for yor new business and do not give up....Show more
