Dorris Homola: The rush from playing an intense video game can come from how focused and determined you are on 'beating' that game. The video game can excite you and by exciting you it raises your dopamine levels, and if you are playing any game it can raise your adrenalin levels. Dopamine is the chemical in you that is the 'happy drug' in your body which can play a role in the excitement; and adrenalin leads to bursts of energy and then a sudden crash, most of the time the crash comes after you beat a level or perhaps just get over a spot you were stuck on. Lonnie Jehle: It's an adrenalin rush like any other, your brain is letting it out to help you focus. Good online racing games usually do this to me, my heart rate will increase and ill be on the edge of my seat extremely into it.
