Dana Russian: There are many both non-vegan and vegan tattoo artists who do indeed respect their customers' wishes. So whatever they are, as long as they are using safe products, that have no animal ingredients and are cruelty free, why worry? In my opinion, looks really radical to bother about the artist's beliefs. I think we have to accept and treat everybodyâs views, whatever they believe in, with equal respect, even if maybe we don't agree with them. As a vegan myslef, I would have absolutely no problem in getting tattooed by a non-vegan artist....Show more

Dana Russian: I've heard from a friend that the animal-based glycerin in the ink is (slightly) safer than the vegetable-based, but I'm not sure. He also said that it's nearly impossible to find truly vegan ink because most tattoo artists aren't aware that there /is/ such a thing or that they'll lie. He we! nt to someone in LA that mixed his own ink so that it would be vegan-friendly, but I don't know who he went to. I'm sorry....Show more
