how to solve teenage gambling problem?

Roselee Mczeal: i've got prevalent a pair of people who've killed themselves and the concern is extra durable to describe. They looked standard on the exterior so whilst it got here approximately it became right into a complete marvel. the ideal factor of do is to ask and be a chum. If i'd desire to turn back time, and lend an open ear or hand, i might completely do it. each so often you purely on no account understand what's happening in somebody's head till this is too previous due, yet I wouldnt call them emotionally vulnerable the least bit. each so often people merely get in a hollow so dark the place there's no optimism, the place there's no gentle on the top of the tunnel and that they do no longer develop into vulnerable, they simply develop into uninterested in dealing. coping with melancholy takes power, no longer purely that, yet some people use substance abuse which makes it worst....Show more

Ty Kirton: get better so its not a problem its a job

Do! nnell Mollo: Degens gonna degen. Just don't give them your money,

Mahalia Brindle: This is a very complex problem that cannot be "solved" by posting a very vague question on a forum like Yahoo! Answers for a random group of people, some of whom are morons as demonstrated by another answer. You need serious help that won't be found here. Look to a Gambler's Anonymous website for better ideas.***EDIT***I saw what Sabrina wrote, and I wanted to make 1 comment. She said, "...you cannot solve the problem for them, but they have to do it themselves but be supportive."Teens in general don't have the ability to "do it themselves". They need much more help than an adult would. Left to their own devices, most would resort to stealing in order to feed their addiction.Stin's advice has to be the very worst! You cannot solve gambling problems by "dropping down" the amount you play! This person has clearly never had a gambling problem....Show more

Sheldon Lally: There ar! e lots of support groups, that you can learn to deal with not ! only being the addict, but being the family of the addict. They're something like AA, but there are lots of them just like it for all types of addictions and it helps to first be patient with the person. Next, be aware that you cannot solve the problem for them, but they have to do it themselves but be supportive. If you go into any search engine, you can find these groups, even in the area you, or the person is living. For example, search "Gambling Addiction Support Group in New York City, NY." I hope this was helpful:) Sabrina...Show more

Giovanni Malool: Honestly you should watch the Charlie Sheen interviews! Haha like he said Nike says "Just do it!" not just try it. Those groups aren't gonna really help you either unless you want the help. Those groups are for serious quitters your mind will overpower anyone trying to help you to stop. The only who can help you is you. If you want to stop gambling completely I recommend you gradually stop. If your gambling $1,000 ! a week maybe bring it down $100 a week down to $200 a week then drop it by $50 a week. Until you get to $0 that way your training your brain and getting it used to not having that excitement. You'll never be able to quit cold turkey because you will instantly fill withdrawal and want to gamble again. Or if you like gambling but your just too compulsive do what I do and set a limit for yourself. You walk into a casino with $200 make sure you dont loose anything below $100 or $150 and increase that bottomed out point as your winnings increase, that way you maximize the winnings and walk out with a full pocket instead of an empty one....Show more

Kris Otuafi: Teenage gambling is a huge problem, it should be avoided to educate them in the classroom and at home.
