Berry Gilmore: It sounds like it's got way too much protein in it to feed more than a tiny bit to a rabbit. I don't like that there's corn in there. You don't say how long it will be before you can get rabbit food but you can feed two cups of fresh lettuce (no iceberg) a few small pieces of carrots or apples per day. You could pull out a dozen of those whole peanuts from the rat food for the day.
Willie Tun: Rats and rabbits have very different needs. Rats are omnivores, so can eat many things. Rabbits are herbivores and should only have plants. Rabbits do not need nuts, seeds, corn and other 'crunchy' bits. Your rabbit should be fine with hay and vegetables until you can get more rabbit food (of the same kind you usually feed). Next time, remember to buy more food before you run out....Show more

Gennie Shauer: No. They cannot. I would suggest feeding it a lot of v! egetables and water.
Ambrose Mumma: Rabbits eat rabbit food and rats eat rat food...............
Codi Manchel: I wouldn't.First off, Kaytee brand rat food isn't even good for rats! And in fact, it has been thought to raise their risk for tumor development. It doesn't even cover the dietary needs of the animal it is supposed to be fed to, much less a different animal.Do some more research on your rabbits diet. Dietary needs MUST be met, and feeding a food made for another animal (thats not even good for that animal to start with) is not how to accomplish that. For my rats, I order a special food online to be their staple (Harlan Teklad, tho I do not think they make rabbit food), then I make a seperate mix myself. Most pet store bought foods and mixes for small animals are horrible. Then I feed fresh fruits and veggies daily. I really do not know what goes into a healthy rabbit diet.. But it is not Kaytee brand food for rats, so I highly discourage this....Show mor! e
Ha Wolski: Q: Does your rat have a short, fluffy bobta! il? Long ears? Does she hop? If the answer is no, you cannot keep your rat on rabbit food with nothing else. There are home-made diets that are BASED on rabbit food out there, but they have many other ingredients in them too. For the sake of simplicity, your rat should be eating rat food. Rabbit food can be a treat if you like, but rabbits and rats are evolved for entirely different diets and feeding your rat off rabbit food will cause deficiences and eventually health problems. Treats are different, they are not a staple diet. Also, why is your rat alone? Are you aware its like shoving a human in a locked room with no human company for life? Rats need the company of other rats. If you dont want your rat to get sick (because of depression), get another cage, another rat, and introduce them slowly....Show more
