wich boat should i decide on?

Laveta Fathy: Get the 14 make sure it has a title and no leaks and the transom is tight.

Jeff Frizzell: sail boat

Rosalva Steinmann: If the water is generally choppy you'll be much happier w/ a V Hull. A flat bottom is fun on glass but will beat you around and you'll regret it.

Lenard Ginyard: The V-hull is better in a light chop.Hope this helps.

Piedad Bassiti: 1. dont make a desicion either way until you have tested the vessel(s) in the water and ensured they see, to work properly.once you've decided which you like best, take it to a qualifed marine tech for a mechanical inspection and know exactly what your buying before you do.2. the choppier the water is the bigger boat you need in order to be remotely stable. too much chop in too little of a boat and you will be sinking.3. v hull is generally stabler in rougher water then flat hull. but flat hull is generally better for getting into tight spots and shallow waters where some fish are easiest t! o find, and those are generally calmer more sheltered waters.however, overall size is also part of stability. while v hull are more stable then flat bottom hulls of the same size, they arent always more stable then a larger flat bottomed vessel. this is something that testing them out on the water will be the best way to figure out....Show more

Norma Marsalis: The "nautical" rule of thumb is:Every man needs 1 foot of boat length for every year of his age. Stop only at the point you can't take it out safely, all by yourself.Johntranslation: get the bigger boat....Show more
