What kind of car maintenance?

Anibal Katayama: i would start looking to reaplce worn belts air filters everything in the pollution control Cleaned throughly lubricated KEEP that engine clean also especially YOUR Trans fluid and filter these FWD vehicles break down baecuse The Trans isnt cooled properly now YOU need to change YOUR trans filter and fluid like every two years !this is normal maintenance and YOU put 30 K miles in one year and a half !WOW you drive a LOT...Show more

Sharri Scalley: periodoic maintenance doesnt cost much, and its always better to be aware, before it breaks... you bought a new car, and didnt get it serviced... ever... are you nuts? new cars leave teh factory and the service isnt just to check the levels... its also to make sure nuts and bolts that were meant to be tight, are still tight... you can change the oil, BUT, you mustnt mix mineral and synthetic oils... at all EVER... they emulsify and clog the oil pump... and then your engine goes BANG... get your owners ! book, read it, or go download it, and check the levels yourself... its not rocket science... and it might save you a fortune......Show more

Warren Kotter: Thanks I like the 4th answer best. I check my oil and it doesn't look bad but I know the synthetic lasts longer. My car has been shaking alot while idling. A couple times it has done this when I'm coming to a stop which really worries me. I've never hit anything or done any damage so I don't know that that is about. Think I'm gonna put in the semi oil, change filter and refill my washer fluid and then get it all check out when I have more money!

Lourie Mcroberts: I would have to suggest you have your vehicle checked at your local dealership before you put too many miles on it. The 3 year 36,000 bumper to bumper warranty should cover you for your issues as long as you can prove all of the maintenance (receipts and things). I hope you get this fixed and I'm glad you've taken such good care of your vehicle. You'v! e certainly gotten some use out of it!Jeff Morris, GM Customer! Service...Show more

Palmira Lochridge: Congrats on changing your own oil!!At 30K and 1 yr old, you don't have to worry about the other fluids. The transmission fluid and anti-freeze is good for 100K and your brake light will come on if you ever need brake fluid.Standard oil (aka dino oil) is fine. Synthetic oil is over-kill for most users anyway. The only way to really get all the benefits from synthetic oil is to have multiple oil samples analized so you know when to change it.You might want to use semi-synthetic oil - it's a nice balance of the benefits of synthetic and the cost of standard. Since it's sold by most all the oil companies, it proves you CAN mix standard and synthetic oils (which I've been doing in all my vehicles for many, many years)....Show more

Eliseo Luma: standard is fine. with that new of a car and that low mileage you don't need to use synthetic. probably a 10w30 or so. check at advance auto parts or another auto retailer to see what ! motor oil is acceptable for your car.check your washer fluid, transmission, brake fluid, engine coolant, and power steering. also check your air filter.
