Where can I find reliable info about hydrogen and hybrid cars?

Basil Blasingame: You have asked for information about 3 huge topics. (hydrogen, hybrid cars, and alternative fuels) Each has many pages of information available on the web. But it seems that you don't know what to believe and this is an entirely different problem. Just because a website says that it is "fair and balanced" does not make it so and constant repetition is a propaganda technique. There may only be relatively reliable sources that need to be measured against the times, the authors perspectives, and your own preconceptions. There are always facts but what we already believe to be true holds the most power over us. Consider these quotes and the source: "It is always more difficult to fight against faith than against knowledge.I use emotion for the many and reserve reason for the few.Great liars are also great magicians.By the skillful and sustained use of propaganda, one can make a people see even heaven as hell or an extremely wretched life as paradise.! "All the quotes are attributed to Adolf Hitler which reminds us that, in the long run, the capacity to manipulate the general population is very powerful and is rarely used to benefit those same people. This should be caution enough to try and see between the lines and not trust any one source. "The Truth" website does not exist for everyone and for all times. It may seem like a lot of work but it is possible to develop some capacity to discern the truth within the sometimes honest and sometimes crafted mistakes. There are keys to finding the truth. A general clue is to see if an appeal is being made to the emotions and your beliefs rather than trying to appeal to your reason. Are you being given the means to check facts and consider the sources for yourself or are you being guided to a conclusion. The more appeal reason has for you, the easier it will be to escape the clutches of propaganda. Look for the appeal to your own bias and the perspective of the author. An! other approach is to know and look for logical fallacies. Ar! med with these techniques you can better understand the war that is waged for your choices that in past times was known as rhetoric....Show more

Cristopher Gavalis: My cars run on natural gas (methane), an alternative fuel, and I love 'em! My sources below can tell you more about vehicles that run on natural gas (cng). It's clean, cheap (I paid 93 CENTS per gallon today to fill up), there's plenty of it, the technology has been around so it's proven (my cars are 1998 and 1999), it's better for the engine - there are so many good things about it. I wish it would catch on.

Brenton Cornwall: Japan has one in production. Seeing is believing. The hybrid cars are a waste of time. Why not go 100% pollution free with hydrogen.

Marti Declue: I don't know about alternative fuels, but GM developed a fully operational hydrogen vehicle platform back in the 90's. It never went into production because they have yet to find a way to package hydrogen that is less explosi! ve. Go to the GM website and check out the research tab...alot of good info.
